CMTrace Open is a free, open-source log viewer and Windows troubleshooting tool, built as a modern replacement for Microsoft's CMTrace.exe. It auto-detects and parses ConfigMgr/SCCM (CCM), CBS, DISM, Panther, MSI, PSADT, and plain-text log formats, with severity color coding, real-time tailing, find and filter, and lookup for 700+ embedded Windows, ConfigMgr, and Intune error codes. Beyond the log viewer it adds dedicated troubleshooting workspaces: Intune Management Extension (IME) diagnostics with an event timeline and download statistics, Autopilot Enrollment Status Page (ESP) and Device Preparation triage, DSRegCmd analysis for Entra join, hybrid join, PRT, MDM, and Windows Hello for Business, software deployment log scanning, Windows Event Log (.evtx) and Sysmon analysis, Secure Boot certificate checks, and diagnostic evidence collection. Ships as a single-file executable with no runtime prerequisites; Windows builds are code-signed. CMTrace Open is an independent open-source project and is not affiliated with Microsoft Corporation.
