Oxolan is a LAN file-sharing app for Windows and macOS offices. It automatically discovers every machine on your local network and transfers files directly between them at full LAN speed over its own encrypted protocol, so files never pass through the cloud. It is built as a practical replacement for SMB / Windows File Sharing, mapped network drives, and cloud sync tools for teams that all work in one building. Typical users are architecture and engineering studios, photo and video editors, animation studios, clinics, and accounting or legal firms that move large files between computers on the same network. Features include automatic device discovery, drag-and-drop transfer, shared workspace folder sync with conflict handling, file locking, remote browse and search of a connected machine's files, and RAW photo preview without downloading. Transfers are encrypted with TLS 1.3 using certificate pinning and per-chunk BLAKE3 integrity checks, and large transfers are resumable after a crash or reboot. Oxolan does not depend on SMB or Windows network discovery, so it is unaffected by the network-discovery and credential-prompt problems those systems are prone to.
